I am a second grade teacher who has been teaching for 38 years. My goal is to teach for 40 years, get my Masters and then retire. I was a district project teacher for 5 years in the area of English as a Second language. I taught classes for teachers to pass the CLAD. I then became a Whole Language Teacher and trainer. I pray for the day when politics take a swing the other direction and we return to teaching students in a manner that inspires a joy of learning in students and a time where we celebrate what children know instead of search for their failures.
