I have been collecting my articles. I bought three notebooks and I have been dividing the articles up with the note cards in each section. This is not necessarily the perfect way to do it because I am finding that sometimes an article covers both questions. I have gone back to articles, taken notes and then placed the notes in the appropriate notebook. This is way more work than I ever imagined. I am really enjoying it, but I am certainly glad that I will have the summer time to work on it more before I have to turn in the final project. I think it is really good that we started early doing this, so we can get good feedback before the final product. The one thing I was amazed at is discovering how much I have learned since my first class. In ETEC 500 I had to write a summary of Rapid Prototyping and I was clueless of what it was about. This time I reread the same article and it made great sense. I guess no matter what age you are learning something the same strategies apply. When you hear new information over and over you can finally manage to understand it.

Kathy,
I hope you are doing a bit better this week. It is always a challenge to deal with life circumstances of any type, particularly death, and continue to attend to school, work and ourselves. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in that you have the strength to get through this as I know you will.
As for your posting this week, I couldn't agree more about this taking way more time than originally expected, yet it is making so much sense. I remember in our ETEC 500 class being told to buy a binder to place all of our articles and start the collection to be used later. I have put that off for some time now, but just this last week purchased binders too. I found that having all of my notes and articles in electronic format is a bit challenging to access easily when writing. I too have created categories within the binder and started making notes that I can quickly refer to when having to actually write. Funny how high tech goes back to low tech. Anyhow, good luck with the onward progress and have a great day.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's incredibly painful. It was my brother's birthday yesterday, almost a year since his death. It still hurts so much. Hang in there.
I wish I had a clear idea of the topic of my project when I began the program. I really like the way this class is structured, to walk us thru all steps of the process. I do wish I had started collecting info a long time ago.
